Happy Wednesday This week has been wild! It was already a short school week, and then we started the week off with two snow days! I knew the snow would finally come and here it is. I absolutely love it! (hit reply and tell me what you think about the snow!) The kids spent a lot of time painting, playing in snow, and so did I. I spent Monday working on the mural that I was commissioned to paint. It's coming along so well! I'm wicked excited to see it when it's done and the room is put back together. Until then, here's a mixed media artwork I began years ago, always saying that I would "finish" it one day. Well, I decided more recently that it is simply done now as it is. No more fixing or waiting, or stalling. Shes been hanging on my wall for at least a few years now. Somewhere in here there is a metaphor for no matter your phase, you are complete I'm sure. I'm calling this one "The Goddess". She's originally on a 24 x 30 inch canvas that was first painted, then drawn over in colored pencil. Click on the button below to find her and others in the shop.
